The only way I know to convey the mental change over into a Montessorian frame of mind is to use the concept of Faith. Faith is unseen. It is intangible. It is a growing knowledge and a knowledge that some times wavers in disbelief. Now years later, I have grown almost by trial and error into a person of faith, both in myself and in the young child's ability to create himself through a prepared environment. I am a big portion of getting the environment prepared - of nurturing it - adding to it - and if need be, taking away from it.

I try to be the best that I can be, and to be true to Montessori's love of the young child. This is a love that wants what is truly best for the child in his entirety. This love will enable him to continue to grow because conditions have been made optimum for him.
Because I came into the Montessori Education as a person of faith, many things that Maria Montessori said deepen my awareness and my sense of awe. Most especially, she instilled in me a sense of reverence for the child. I now continue with what knowledge I've internalized to provide the best environment for the children that I can.
